LCL Community Network
On our journey to partnering with young girls as they define themselves as women our participants made it clear that we not only needed to support them but also the women around them. As a part of the LCL vision to liberate diverse women from the barriers that prevent them from realizing and operating in their fullest capacity, LCL has been expanding its community programming into the community.
LCL provides four levels of programming to support the development of diverse women (of all ages). Starting with our LEAD Expo to our Community Roundtables and Sister Sunday Brunches, LCL creates the space to continue the collective discourse on Leadership, Entrepreneurism, Advocacy and personal Development. The LEAD Expo is a 1-day conference in which girls and women from across Chicago come together to address challenges and opportunities that we face as diverse women. The Community LEAD roundtables are designed to continue the discourse and conversation at various locations in our communities. Sister Sunday Brunches are a time for diverse women to come together in solidarity. Brunches will be hosted in collaboration with Diaspora Spirit, a long-time community partner and ‘Big Sister’ of LCL.
